U14 Girls started the 2017-2018 season with a game of two halves against Ipswich Basketball Club falling just short 61 – 73.

Starting the game very slow, adjusting to their first game County Upper allowed Ipswich to take a dominating 22 point lead by halftime 23 – 45. However CU finally woke up in the 3rd quarter as stormed back into the game with a 26 – 11 score and cutting Ipswich lead to only 7 points 49 – 56. Starting the 4th quarter on a 5 – 1 run County Upper were able to cut Ipswich’s lead to just 3 points 54 – 57 but then run out of fuel letting Ipswich respond and close out the game.

County Upper were lead in scoring by Grace spooner with 35 points who was supported by Jenna Wright and Kayleigh Brown with 11 points and 10 points respectively.

County Upper will be next in action this weekend when they take on Harringey Angels in London.
