County Upper Wolves Men’s Team looked to bounce
back from their loss last weekend against the Anglia
The first quarter would see both teams go back and
forth, each team displaying great defense. ARU would
come out on top 21-18.
The travelling side dominated the second quarter as the
Wolfpack couldn’t keep up, struggling to convert on the

fight, and continued to chip away at the lead getting as

quarter down 5 with it all up for grabs.
With 10 minutes left in the game, County Upper gave
everything they had, chipping away slowly at the visiting
sides lead, but ARU would hold on. Final score 83-74
‘It is always going to be a tough game when you start off
with 8 players, we were missing a lot of key players
tonight and I think that we got fatigued towards the end.
All the credit to ARU as they played a great game and
well defensively together. I’m looking forward to our
next match up with them when we are at full strength.’
U14 Boys VS Essex Rebels. National League. East Conference
U14 boys looked to continue their hot start to the
season as they took on the travelling Essex Rebels side.
County Upper Wolves would come out of the gates
strong with a 19-12 effort. With some opposing players
in foul trouble, County continued to expose that and
continued their attack.
The second quarter saw much of the same, attacking at
will and allowing nothing defensively. Joe Laycock giving
the team a huge boost defensively, as he continued to
pressure the other teams guards and come away with
steals. The young Wolfpack were making a statement,
dominating the quarter 28-13. Going into the half 47-25.
The home side would continue their performance
throughout the second half. Guard Charlie Smythe
attacking the other teams defense at will, finishing with a
variety of impressive lay ups and shots. The score now
The 4 th quarter saw opportunity for a number of the
younger County Upper Wolves players. Guards Hamish
Campbell and Kio Causton ran the show on offense.
While Joseph Cocksedge, Ben Terry and Jake Knowler all
made their presence known on defense. Final Score –

huge for us and beat a Essex Rebels team that are very
strong with some good players. The 4th quarter was
played mostly by our younger player and I’m extremely
proud of how they held their own and played strong until

U16 Boys VS Braintree Blue Devils. National League. East Conference.
Another win for County Upper Wolves U16 Boys this weekend at home to Braintree Blue Devils. Making it 4 out of 4, the Wolves had a final score of 82 – 39.
After a slow start the boys picked up the pace and continued with a comfortable lead throughout the remainder of the game. Jack Nichols finished with 24 points, while Lewis French kept his position as the team’s top scorer with 31.
Hoping to continue their winning streak County Wolves play away to Harlow Hawks on the 15th December.
U14 Girls VS Southend Rockets. National League. Central Conference
County Upper girls’ team played a hard game against Southend.
During the first quarter, County Upper kept in the game, pushing to keep the score difference
3 (6-9). Moving into the 2nd quarter, more shots were going in and CU was playing well.
However, Southend kept driving leaving the score 18-28 at half time. During the second half,
County Upper worked hard on their offence and defence. They unfortunately failed to make
the score even with the opposition and left the score 30-71.
CU were led in scoring by Esther Cushing with 10 points and Polly Cailes with 8 points.
