Bury St Edmunds, Suffolk— Jordan Boyd (Romford, London) joins Madison CC (Madison, Wisconsin), to continue his educational and basketball career. Jordan becomes the third County Upper player to join an American University this year and the 5 CU player to attend Madison CC in 11 years. Jordan joined County Upper Basketball Academy for the 2016 – 2017 season having previously played basketball in Romford London.
“I’m really happy for Jordan, all of his hard work has finally paid off” said coach Johnson, “Jordan came to us some three years with a dream of playing basketball in the USA. While it is not easy to gain a place on an American University basketball team roster, Jordan put in a tremendous amount of basketball hours this year fine tuning his skills with the hope of gaining just one opportunity. Late in May 2019 Coach Palmer showed a strong interest in recruiting Jordan who finally confirmed his spot on Madisons roster in late August.
Madison CC is coached by Coach Palmer. Coach Palmer has been both a professional player as well as a Head Coach and Assistant coach for many years with multiple NCAA D2 teams.
